From October 1 to 5, 2018, the 37th edition of the Championnat national du chien militaire was held in Suippes, in the Marne region, at the 132nd Army Dog Battalion. This competition brought together 132 handler-dog teams around intervention, training, patrol and tracking events, enabling the best teams in each specialty to be rewarded.
On this occasion, Technamm was honored to make available two vehicles from the Masstech range, specially equipped to meet the needs of dog-handling units. A great first for us, and a great opportunity to demonstrate the versatility of our solutions.
The first vehicle, a Masstech VLTT Cynotechnique, has been designed to guarantee the comfort and safety of dogs in the field and on the move. In the back of the vehicle are facilities designed with their well-being in mind: water and kibble bowls, a shower to cool them down after missions, air conditioning to maintain an ideal temperature, and even an audio system playing soft music. A study has shown the calming effects of classical music on dogs, so this feature has been integrated to promote their serenity.
The military also have a video surveillance system integrated into the dashboard, enabling them to keep an eye on their companions at all times, and to check on their state of health during journeys.
The second vehicle presented was a Masstech Cynotechnique SW, more rustic but just as functional. It features reinforced crates to accommodate dogs in complete safety, in compliance with operational standards.
This experience, at the crossroads of technology and support for the forces involved, marks a new stage for Technamm in its support for specialized units. We're proud to have taken part in this national event, alongside all those involved in military dog training.
